2006 National Specialty

At the 2006 Collie Club Of America specialty show
Judge Anne Cross presented an
AWARD OF MERIT to our
CH. BARKSDALE LOCHLAREN LIAISON, ROM "Anthony"

(CH. Southland's Bowen Island, ROM x Barksdale Body Double)

Bred and handled by Nancy McDonald
Owners: Barbara Cleek and Jackie Morfitt

*Judge Anne Cross critique – "CH. Barksdale Lochlaren Liaison and the sire of my AOM Smooth CH. King's Valley Demuir Here I Am, walked away with an Award Of Merit as well. Here was a tri with a smooth masculine head and soft expression so hard to get on a tri, good ears set where they should be, wonderful balance of body and coat, great texture and intense black color. Add to this a ground-covering gait of a dog who also "stood over a lot of ground" which refers to correct layback and slope of croup which tends to lower the silhouette of a breed meant to move sheep."

AND...

WINNERS BITCH * BEST OF WINNERS * BEST AMERICAN BRED

Was awarded to

CH. ROSEBANK LOCHLAREN KEEP IT A SECRET "Fallon"
(CH. Countryview Tonite’s the Night x Lochlaren Rosebank Secret)

Pictured with Fallon are L-R Judge Les Canavan, Handler Dona Williams,
Co-breeder Barbara Cleek,
Breeder/Owner of Sire Dan Cardoza, CCA President Pati Merrill

Breeders: Barbara Cleek and Tim Bauder
Owners: Tim Bauder and Cheryl Thompson

*Judge Les Canavan critique – "Rosebank Lochlaren KeepItASecret…this bitch had it all and exuded quality with the quiet assurance of some of the old-timers…What can I say, this bitch stood out in good company—she had it all and brought it with her this day! Wish she were mine!"
